The MicroFat Grafting Technique
LipoStructure involves gently removing fat from unwanted sites (such as the abdomen, buttocks or "love handles"), cleansed and prepared then layered in a meticulous fashion into the body areas targeted for refinement. This detailed LipoStructure process helps increase the likelihood of the fat surviving and creating a permanent result. For the transplanted fat to survive in its new location your plastic surgeon will take multiple passes to delicately place the fat in contact with capillaries and blood vessels.

What's the Effect of the Fat?
With MicroFat Grafting, structures can be changed. The Preparation
Before Microfat Grafting surgery, you are advised to avoid smoking, aspirin and aspirin products as well as other medications which can increase bleeding and bruising. The MicroFat grafting procedure will be performed at a state-of-the-art outpatient facility under local or general anesthesia administered by board-certified anesthesiologists. After surgery, pain is controlled with oral medication. Bruising and swelling lasts 1-2 weeks or less. Temporary numbness may be experienced at the donor and/or recipient sites.

How long does the fat last after being placed by MicroFat Grafting?
Because the fat is a natural substance in your body, when placed by this technique, it has shown to be permanent. If there is a desire to further improve a contour or wrinkle the procedure can be repeated in 1 or 2 years.

Is Microfat Grafting safe?
Because Dr. Mausner uses blunt tipped cannulas in placing the fat, there is much less chance for damage to underlying vital structures compared to traditional surgery.
Being a natural substance in your body there is no chance for rejection (such as with liquid silicone) and no chance for allergic reaction (such as with Collagen).
